Data Use Policy

Working draft · pending attorney review · Last updated for pilot alignment

Last Updated: 2026-09-02

Overview

prismaIQ does not sell your health information or share individual health information with advertisers. We use health data to provide the Service (analysis, guidance, shopping handoff, wearables, and related features) as described in our Privacy Policy.

Optional research use of de-identified or aggregated data — if offered — requires a separate, explicit, revocable opt-in. It is never required to use core features.

Personalization learning

For wearables, habits, and related personalization surfaces, prismaIQ first uses statistical learning on your synced data to learn your patterns and personal baselines. When enough data points have accrued in a given area, that area can switch over to machine learning methods better suited to spotting anomalies against your own history.

  • About one week of consistent data is a rough timeline for statistical learning to start being useful for knowing your baseline.
  • Multiple weeks of history are typically needed before anomaly-oriented machine learning can run reliably in each area.

These timelines are educational estimates — not a diagnosis, medical device claim, or guarantee of when any signal will fire. The same methods are summarized in-product (for example under prismaIQ score methodology and wearables).

HIPAA compliance

Your health is your health — and we care about that. prismaIQ is fully HIPAA compliant, with BAAs in place from our associated vendors (including Xata for our database and OpenAI for the AI Assistant). We do not sell or share your health data for research or marketing.
